Home Remedies for Scabies
To heal your skin from scabies you need to kill the mites for which you need poison. Sulphur is a poison which can kill these mites. Mix some suphur with petroleum jelly. Now have a warm bath and after soaking all the water apply the mixture thoroughly on the skin. Do this regularly and scabies will be gone in a few days.
Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil is available at pharmacy stores, and it has natural antibacterial properties. Take two tablespoons of tea tree oil and mix it with two tablespoon of vegetable oil. Now apply the mixture thoroughly in the areas.
Turmeric is another easily available natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agent. It has been used for centuries to kill the mites in scabies. Take turmeric powder and make a paste of it. Now spread it over the affected area.
In scabies you need something that can help you from the itchy sensation. It is all the more needed because if you are infected with scabies you will have a tendency to scratch which may infect further areas of your skin.
To manage this you can use calamine lotion on and around the lesions. It will have a soothing effect on the skin and you will not need to scratch any more.
To treat the itchy sensation you can use cold water. Cold water has been found to control itching.
Oatmeal bath has been found to remove the mites and its eggs from the skin by acting as a scrubbing agent. It will also remove the itchy sensation.
The skin of onion is found to contain a compound known as quercetin which can help you to sooth an itching skin. Boil some onion in sufficient amount of water for around 20 minutes, remove from heat and let it cool.
Now apply it all over the body. Do this regularly while having medicines or taking resort to other home remedies for killing the mites. You will get profound relief from the itch.
Zinc helps in boosting your immune system, and it has been found in scientific studies. In case you are deficient in zinc you will be susceptible to infectious attacks. Having the optimum level of zinc in your body can help you to fight infections including scabies. So you should have food rich in zinc. In whole grain products, soybins, yeast, sunflower seeds and molasses you will get good quantities of zinc.
