Home Remedies For Spider Bites
One of the best and easy home remedies for spider bites is ice. Ice packs are used for reducing swelling and pain after spider bite. Make an ice pack of 4 to 5 ice cubes and leave this pack on wounded area for 20 minutes. This will give instant relief from redness, pain and itching. Alternatively, dip a thin cloth in chilled water and place it on bitten area for at least one hour.
Baking soda is also very effective in reducing itching and pain associated with bite. For this remedy, make a thick paste of 2 teaspoons of baking soda and 2 teaspoon of water.
Apply this paste gently with cotton balls on affected area. Now, leave this paste for at least 15-20 minutes. This paste can bring immediate relief to you. You can also mix baking soda with small amount of skin lotion.
Olive oil has got several medicinal values. Olive oil mixed with turmeric powder can be applied on spider bite directly. Take one spoon of turmeric powder and add a few drops of olive oil in it. Now, with the help of your fingertip spread this paste on affected part. This helps in reducing swelling and redness associated with spider bites.
Onion also plays an important role in healing spider bites. For this home treatment, crush one small sized onion and apply this on spider bite.
Experts say that onion contains enzyme which helps in breaking down inflammatory compound. You can also try crushed garlic cloves instead of onion.
Papaya is also considered to be one the best home remedies for healing spider bites. Enzymes present in papaya fruit helps in neutralizing spider venom. Keep a slice of papaya fruit on spider bitten area. Alternatively, make a paste of papaya pieces and onion to get rid of spider bites. This home remedy will show more effect if used thrice in a day for 15 minutes.
Turmeric has got various medicinal properties which helps in getting relief from pain and swelling. Mix 2 teaspoon of turmeric powder in one teaspoon of raw milk and make a paste.
With the help of fingertip, spread this paste on the bitten area. Leave this paste on the wounded area for at least half an hour. This will result in instant cooling and relief from redness.
Peppermint has also got cooling properties. Toothpaste contains peppermint as their main ingredient. Thus, apply toothpaste directly on your wound and leave it for half an hour. It speeds up the healing process. It also reduces skin redness and irritation.

Tea tree oil is a good home remedy for dealing with spider bites. Add a few drops of tea tree oil in a cup of chilled water. Now, wash affected area with this water.
